Three Questions For…Ani Liu

Will the handshake become extinct? What can our fragility as a species teach us about our own existence? And, how are animalistic human-needs being reprioritized during the COVID-19 crisis? On our third episode of ‘Three questions for…’ I sat down (virtually of course) with Ani Liu, an internationally recognized research-based artist working at the intersection of biology and technology. Besides being an overall amazing and fascinating person - she has the credentials to match, Ani lectures at Princeton and has a Master of Science from MIT and Master of Architecture from Harvard.

We spoke on the importance of comfort and having a constant during periods of change, and how to combat the feeling of loneliness that comes from being confined. Tackling these issues from the perspective of an artist, especially one with a keen sense of behavioral shifts and an astute eye for patterns, offers a different perspective on the crisis. Big thank you to Ani Liu for such a great conversation.

About Three questions with…

We ask three questions to our experts, speakers and thought-leaders around the globe in their WFH or otherwise remote locations. The episodes are raw, uncut, and only slightly scripted, born out of the ‘virtual’ versus ‘physical’ COVID-19 world. Our interviewees are practitioners in retail, workplace, mobility, tech, media and design.
